LG Electronics Launches High-Quality DVD Recorders Enabled by LSI Logic DiMeNsion(TM) Processor
- Combination VCR/DVD recorders allow consumers to retain their investment in VHS tapes, and store and view digital content
MILPITAS, Calif., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A leader in multimedia processing for the Digital Home, LSI Logic Corporation (NYSE: LSI) today announced that its DiMeNsion(TM) 8602 (DMN-8602) DVD recorder system processor is enabling LG Electronics' line of combination VCR/DVD recorder products, including the XBR446. The XBR446 is one in a family of new LG Electronics- branded DVD recorders launching in the U.S. that will include high-quality audio/video and innovative features such as "7-in-2" Flash memory card support. These features make it easier for consumers to enjoy digital photography (JPEGs), digital audio, and other multimedia formats in the comfort of their living rooms.
